Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 2026 · Chromux Labs (MSME Registered, Govt. of India)
Our Core Privacy Principle
Chromux Browser is designed by Chromux Labs from the ground up to be a private, local-first browser. We do not collect, store, profile, or sell your personal browsing history, queries, passwords, or downloaded media. Your data stays locally encrypted on your device.
No Cloud Sync
History & bookmarks remain strictly on your phone.
PIN Encrypted Vault
Private files are locally locked and hidden.
AdShield Filter
Blocks trackers, miners, and intrusive popups on-device.
Secure DNS (DoH)
Encrypted DNS queries to prevent ISP tracking.
1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is handled strictly on your Android device using sandbox database protocols:
- Browsing History & Bookmarks: Saved only in local storage. Never synced or transmitted to external servers.
- Cookies & Cache: Kept locally to maintain website sessions and accelerate loading. You can clear them instantly in one tap via Settings.
- Media Preferences: 5-band equalizer presets, 8D audio spatial settings, and video playback speeds are stored on-device.
2. AdShield & Anti-Tracking Protection
Chromux includes an on-device content blocker that strips third-party trackers, cross-site cookies, and malicious ad scripts before they execute. Anti-Fingerprinting techniques randomize canvas metrics to prevent data brokers from generating unique hardware profiles of your device.
3. Private Vault Security
Files stored in the Chromux Private Vault are protected with your personal PIN. These files are kept in isolated private application storage and are invisible to standard gallery and file manager apps.
4. Diagnostic & Stability Telemetry
To ensure rapid performance and eliminate crashes, anonymous aggregated error logs (such as OS version and stack traces) may be processed via Firebase Crashlytics. No personal identity, search queries, or URLs are ever included in crash diagnostics.
5. Website Analytics Policy
On this website (chromux.in), we collect anonymous visit metrics (such as page hit counts) to measure guide readership. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or sell marketing data.
